The man accused off murdering her is Edward Williams, 23. Police say that Edward shot and that killed Jasmine Jackson, 21, and grazed a 20-year-old man in the arm around 8:50 a.m. Friday.

Charges against Williams include first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and misdemeanor possession of between 30 and 100 grams of cannabis, Chicago police said. He was ordered held without bail Monday in a hearing before Cook County Judge Michael Clancy.
Jasmine and the man were walking together when Edward and an accomplice emerged from an alley, according to court documents. Police say Edwards fired several times at the pair, hitting Jasmine in the head and hitting the man in his left arm. The man was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital.
According to online reports, Jasmine - who worked as a security guard in the area - had rebuffed romantic advances from Edward in the past. Its not clear whether her romantic refusals had anything to do with her killing.

Surveillance video showed the attackers getting into a Nissan Versa, allegedly rented by Williams, according to court documents.
Area North detectives identified Williams as the shooter, and he was arrested as he was seen getting into a vehicle wanted for its use in a fatal shooting, police said.
